Aaron Jennings recaps the action at the second annual Future50 Camp&Showcase.

LEBANON, Mo. — The second annual SWMO Basketball Future 50 Showcase brought together many of the region’s top players to Lebanon High. Here is a look at the Class of 2023-2024 girl’ basketball players at the event. The players are listed by the team they played on and their jersey number.

Jayden Adams         2023 Neosho        5’3    24

Adams moves well off the ball and can handle it for herself when she needs to. She can score from distance and is a good passer. She is quick getting around opponents and uses her speed to find separation.

 

 

 

Taylor Brookshire    2024 Newburg      5’7    2      

A fun player to watch who has good size and length for her age. She rebounds well and can find position and lock down opponents on defense. A good lane runner and a slasher who can go inside or step back for an open look. A player to keep your eyes on in the years to come.

 

 

Kaida Cook              2023 Licking          5’11 26

A smart forward with a good eye and a lot of grit. Cook has great size and a natural feel for the post position. She also can handle some time on the perimeter. She defends well and is physical on both ends of the floor.

 

 

 

Maelynn Garrett     2023 Neosho        5’7    31

An organized player who can handle the ball and move inside and rebounds and score. She works well from the start and can fill in any gap as a defender, scorer, and on ball trapper. She is unselfish and pushes herself to play her best.

 

 

 

Hannah Gibbons     2024 Greenwood 5’9    4

A smart player who runs well and can put strong pressure on the ball. She’s athletic and can bounce well around the basket. She moves her feet well and can score when she has the look and likes the match up.

 

 

 

Brynn Holt               2023 Sparta          5’8    32

A nice guard who plays the wing and forward at times. She can score, both as a creator and off the catch. She also goes inside to look for rebounds and moves off the ball well and plays defense on the ball.

 

 

 

Kennedi Keller                     2024 West Plains 5’5    10

Looks to pass, run the floor and score inside when she has a lane. Keller is quick to get back on defense and is a good passer and a fine scorer when she has the look.

 

 

 

Emily Recker            2024 St James       5’6    21

A strong and athletic guard who does a lot of the dirty work. She rebounds, fights for the ball and can come up with important plays on both ends. Especially on the offensive end. She can score, handle the ball and has great leadership qualities.

 

 

 

Maci Tharp              2024 Liberty          5’2    22

A smart young player who looks to pass and can score with time and an opening. She showed promise with her handles and she moves off of screens well for her size. A player who likes to play fast.

 

 

 

Kianna Yates            2023 Carthage      5’4    45

Yates has good handles for her age and proved she could sell fakes and misdirection well. She has a great feel for the ball and can move in and out well. She scores when she rolls the dice, but she impressed with her vision.

A taller guard who has a high basketball IQ. She can slash, handle the ball and looks to make the extra pass and get her teammates involved. Also a player that can score for herself and create things when little is available.

 

 

 

Meghan Campise    2023 Crocker        5’4    47

A smaller guard who keeps her space and can shoot from distance. She goes after rebounds, loose balls and can pick off passes through her positioning and active nature. Also a good passer.

 

 

 

Carolina Crawford   2023 Willard                     5’2    28

An eager player who brings a nice combination of skill and speed to the floor. She works hard and can beat opponents with her speed. Also a good handler and a player that can connect if you give her an opening or the space.

 

 

 

Elaina Foster           2023 Crocker        5’4    30

A nice guard who plays a clean game. She runs the lanes, gets back on defense and can take the ball inside or pull it out. Foster is another guard from Crocker who has a lot of potential to her game. She is a smart player and one who improves the more she’s on the floor with the ball in her hands.

 

 

Sydney Harrison      2024 West Plains 5’8    5

A stronger guard who plays well against taller opponents. She can handle it some and uses her strength to take advantage of poor match-ups. She also has good hands and is a strong rebounder, defender and clean up player.

 

 

 

Emma Howard        2023 Cherokee     5’4    33

Howard is a good guard who can handle the ball and play as a scoring guard. She can shoot well and is good at spotting openings and feeding the ball inside. She can score for herself, bith around the free throw line and behind.

 

 

 

Grace Johnson                     2023 Neosho        5’3    35

A smart player who can handle the ball and score when she has an opening. She moves well and takes her time and makes good decisions.

 

 

 

Alexis Raucstadt      2024 Southwest   5’4    20

An aggressive player who plays tough defense and can jump passing lanes. She moves well off the ball and can create for herself at times and can serve as a catch-and-shoot player or a hustle player when her shot isn’t falling.

 

 

 

Abbie Sullins           2023 Licking          5’10 44

Sullins is a nice forward who has a soft touch around the rim. She can feel her way to the basket and back opponents down. She is also good at rebounding and fights for position when the ball goes up. Another Licking player to keep your eyes on.

 

 

Reagan Wells           2024 Liberty          5’8    23

A smart player who can play a guard position or the wing if she needs to. Wells understands up-and-down games and can run the floor well and get a hand on the ball inside if she’s rebounding.
