We take a look at the players from one of the teams at the 2020 Future 50 Camp and Showcase

The 2020 Future 50 Camp and Showcase, held at Strafford Sports Center on Sunday August 16th, was a huge success and overall a great experience for the players and their respective families! We saw a lot of great players from the area do their thing, with a good portion of the games being very competitive, particularly on the high school side. And now, we get to write about each of the players.

Here, we take a look at some of the younger players on the girls side. This will be one of several parts we will be publishing over the coming days.

Kendall Costoplos, 2024 St James, 5’9 – Costoplos has very good length for her age, especially considering that she can play out on the perimeter very well. She can knock down 3’s but can also go inside and score on post ups. Very versatile player, high basketball IQ and lots of potential. She can also crash the boards well. St James has a great girls basketball program and we expect Costoplos to help keep that tradition going.

Alexis Raucstadt, 2024 Southwest, 5’6 – Raucstadt is a player that can be counted on to always bring great effort and is willing to get down and defend, two traits that coaches never take for granted. As her offensive game improves, Raucstadt will always be tough for a coach to keep off the floor due to her intangibles.

Mikayla Pilley, 2025 Cherokee, 5’8 – Pilley has good size for her age and also has very good athleticism, a combo that helps her block and contest many shots on the defensive end, and to finish well around the basket on the offensive side. She plays with confidence and brings a winning attitude. As she matures and expands her offensive repertoire, we expect more great things from her.

Sammi Watson, 2025 Republic, 5’3 – Watson has a good shot from the perimeter and got high marks for being coachable and having a good attitude. With continued development of her ball handling and general all around game, she will take the next step up.

Kori Roussell, 2025 Ozark, 5’1 – Roussell is a real pest on both ends, despite her lack of height. She makes up for it with her quickness and tenacity. A tough girl who gives the opposing ball handler fits on the defensive end, and handles it well on the offensive side. She can also knock down the 3 ball. Coaches love her motor and general moxie.

Autumn Baldwin, 2025 Skyline, 5’3 – Baldwin is another player from a small town with a traditionally great girls basketball program. She fits the Skyline mode of being tough, hard-nosed and relentless on both ends. Got high marks for her defensive effort and her hustle, include diving on the floor constantly for loose balls. Also willing to be a vocal leader and sees the floor very well. Bright future ahead…

Kori Alcorn, 2024 St James, 5’6 – Alcorn, like her St James classmate Costoplos, is another player with a bright future. She presents matchup problems for opposing teams, given her athletic ability and all around offensive talents. She can nail the 3 but also get to the rim and finish around or over the defense. Very competitive, and a good ball handler as well.

Kallie Henry, 2024 MV-Liberty, 5’7 – Henry has both height and strength and uses both to her advantage. She knows how to both create space inside and to anticipate where errant shots will come off at to grab rebounds, especially offensive ones. She gets a few put backs per game.

Maggie Boyd, 2025 Carthage, 5’6 – Boyd is a cerebral player for her age, high basketball IQ, plays hard and tough and really gets after it on defense. A player who will do the things coaches love and can be counted on to make the right decision the majority of the time. She is also willing to make the extra pass, often at the expense of giving up her own opportunity to score.
